ºÚÁÏרÇø to Host City University of New York (CUNY) Pridefest 2025ÌýFriday, June 6; Annual Celebration of Diversity and Inclusion is Free and Open to the PublicÌý

Ìý—Students, faculty, and staff from all 25 CUNY campuses are expected to participate—

WHAT:Ìý The eighthÌýannual City University of New York (CUNY) Pridefest at ºÚÁÏרÇø, a free and open-to-the-publicÌýPride Month celebration of diversity and inclusion for students, faculty, and staff from all 25 CUNY schools.ÌýAmong the offerings will be musical, dance, DJ, and drag performances; button making, painting,Ìýand craft activities; a Pride piñata; a Pride in the Sky activity; lawn games; giveaways; an expo area; a photo booth; a lemonade stand;Ìýand more.

There will be free items available at the event, including PridefestÌýT-shirts at check-in for the first 400Ìýattendees, and—for use during the official CUNY Pride dance party at the main stage area—freeÌýcommemorative clacker fans for the first 150 festival-goers.

Confidential HIV and STI testing will be available. A special fundraiser will benefit theÌýAIDS Center of Queens County.

WHO:Ìý Speakers will include ºÚÁÏרÇø officials; elected officials are also expected.

Background
Pridefest 2025 is made possible through the support of theÌýCUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium in partnership with the New York City Council; ºÚÁÏרÇø; LaGuardia Community College; and CUNY.

Cosponsors include the Offices of the ºÚÁÏרÇø President, Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, ºÚÁÏרÇø Health Services, the CUNY Office of Student Inclusion Initiatives, the CUNY Coalition for Students with Disabilities (CCSD), and the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives at LaGuardia Community College. Additional support was provided by ºÚÁÏרÇø student clubs and organizations, including the Gender, Love and Sexuality Alliance (GLASA); the Alliance of Latin American Students (ALAS); the Hispanic Club; Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority; the Committee for Disabled Students; and the ºÚÁÏרÇø PRIDE Team.
