The CoursEval notice contains a link to an error submission form, which ITS uses to implement corrections. The notice also prompts instructors to review the Optional Add-on Question Bank ahead of the Add-on Selection Period.

Week 13: Add-on Selection Period. One week before the evaluation period, instructors have the option to “personalize” their evaluations by adding up to three (3) additional questions from the QC CoursEval Add-on Question Bank to each individual course they teach. The CoursEval notice links to detailed instructions for how to add items.

Week 14: Course Evaluation Period. Course evaluations open three weeks before the start of finals. During the evaluation period, students receive emails inviting them to submit their course evaluations, and instructors receive emails inviting them to encourage their students to submit. Instructors may track the count of students that have submitted evaluations by logging into the CoursEval system.

The course evaluation period ends the last day classes unless an extension to the end of term is granted by the Committee on Teaching Excellence and Evaluation.

Course evaluation reports are released approximately two weeks after course grades are due (typically early January for fall terms and early June for spring terms). This ensures that course evaluation data are not accessible before grades are submitted. Instructors receive a CoursEval notice with detailed instructions on how to access their CoursEval reports.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Student Guide” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]

 Students can orient themselves to the new Course Evaluations questionnaire here:

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Faculty Resources” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]

For tips on how to increase response rates, how to add items from the Question Bank, how to download CoursEval reports, or how to interpret student feedback, see our instructor resources here:

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Questions and Support” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]

[/et_pb_accordion_item][/et_pb_accordion][et_pb_blurb _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_blurb][dsm_text_divider header=”How to Access CoursEval Data” color=”#E71939″ divider_weight=”3px” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_text_align=”center” header_text_color=”#333333″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/dsm_text_divider][et_pb_accordion closed_toggle_text_color=”#b83751″ closed_toggle_background_color=”#FFFFFF” icon_color=”#E71939″ _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” closed_toggle_font=”|600|||||||” width=”80%” max_width=”80%” module_alignment=”center” border_color_all=”#C0C0C0″ box_shadow_style=”preset3″ box_shadow_vertical=”1px” box_shadow_blur=”6px” box_shadow_spread=”1px” box_shadow_color=”#e2e2e2″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Faculty Access to CoursEval Data” open=”on” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

To access your CoursEval Reports as an instructor:

To access CoursEval Reports as a department administrator (chair or dean):

See our Guide to Generating Survey Intelligence Reports here.

See our Guide to Generating Survey Intelligence Reports here, or see this video on Survey Intelligence Reports.

Additionally, summary data and institutional averages from 2010 on are available via Tableau.

NOTE: Course evaluations close by the end of the term and results are not released until after all grades are posted (typically early June for spring terms, and early January for fall terms). Upon release, instructors receive an email notification that their reports are ready. These reports allow instructors to see response rates for each course and individual course results, including quantitative summary data (counts and average ratings for each survey item) and students’ comments. Likewise, department chairs and deans will be able to access reports for their faculty. Note that department chairs and deans have access to quantitative data only (but not to comments) for all courses in their departments.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Student Access to CoursEval Data” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]
